Well, that was an adventure, and guess what, I dont have very much
time again. This week has been interesting. We started teaching a
young lady that has been to church twice. She is really great and on
the path. Her name is Tania- we actually have only taught her one time
because she goes to school in the afternoon and it is really hard to
find her, but we have lots of faith that she is going to progress.
Also, we have been working with a less active family, and they went to
church on Sunday! Also, one of the people who lives with them is not a
member. His name is Felipe. He recieved an answer that Joseph Smith
was a prophet and actually he is the one that is helping the family be
motivated again. They all remembered when they had recieved their
answers.
I actually lost my voice this week, so that was fun. My poor new comp
had to go out with members even though it was her first week in the
area. What a trooper! The Lord tests us in all kinds of ways.
I have been remembering that it all really depends in our trust in
God. We just have to believe that he will be there in all that we do
and follow his will.
Sorry it is short again! But you know the mission!
Love you all!
Due to diffent circumstances, we dicided to write early this week, and
I am digging it because I feel like I have a ton more time right now.
My companion and I had fun this week, really bursting out trying some
new things. Putting in all that we had, and it was really fun. Things
are not exactly constant in the mission, you never know what could
happen next, so you always have to be on your toes.
One of our investigators that we have been a little bit relaxed about
told us that he wants to follow forward, get married to be able to get
baptized. So that is happy! We are hoping all goes well and that they
will be able to get married soon. We found someone AWESOME this week
named Stephany. She love fittness and nutrition, she is a cyclist (it
reminds me of my aunts and uncles). She accepted baptism really fast
and went to church yesterday really excited. She was a refferal of
the counselor to the bishop. We are having lots of fun teaching her!
She actually invited us to eat with her in like an hour, so that is
fun!
Yesterday we talked in church! I talked about how no effort is wasted,
how it really is worth it to share the gospel. It really is true. We
never know when someone might be ready to recieve the blessings of the
gospel in their life. We also dont know who might be listening. I
shared about how Abinidi preached to a people that really did not want
to listen to him. they actually hated what he said. The killed him.
With us it is not that extream, but sometimes people really dont want
to hear it or even get offended. But there was one person that was
listening to him who ended up becoming a prophet. Alma! Alma wouldnt
have been if it were not for Abinidi, and after Alma came a whole lot
of really cool conversion stories- imagine the book of mormon without
Alma! Thanks to Abinidi, who followed the commandment of God and
preached to a wicked people, many people were brought to a knowledge
of the gospel.
I know that every little thing that we do to share the gospel is for
something. Share it! even if you get laughed at or rejected. Follow
the spirit and be blessed!
They also asked me on thursday to direct the choir. I can officially
say that I don't know how to do that, but I did it haha.
I am reading in the Book of Mormon about how mad captian Moroni gets
at wickedness. It is funny how many times that it says that he got
angry and so he sent his army. He was a really smart guy, he made sure
that everything was strong first. That is a priority that we must have
as well, and we can do it spiritually through scriture study, by
feasting upon the word.
I am loving it here, even the hard stuff! Love you all!

This week was fun, we found some people to teach that really have been
prepared by the lord. To the point that they had gone to church last
week, before we knew them. God is blessing us.
I had a really inspiring study this morning and I wanted to share what
I felt. I read in Helaman 11 and 12. It is talking about how they were
in war, and Nefi pleaded that he would send them a famine instead, so
that they would remember God. So God sends the famine, and they repent
after a time. But then, once they start to prosper, they become wicked
again...
How really sad it is that we often forget God in times that he is
blessing us. All is going well, we are prospering and we forget that
THAT is the promise. It even says that Nefi prays that God will
continue to chasten the people so that they dont forget Him.
I hope that I remember in times of trial that it is because He loves
me and I hope that when all is well that I will know that it is
because God is blessing me.
Sorry it isn´t much this week, but read Helaman 12.
