April 2015

SO CONFRENCE WAS AWESOME. It is different in spanish, not gonna lie,
it is a little bit harder to connect to even though I understand it,
it just doesn`t call out in the same way, but I got to watch most of
the Saturday afternoon session in english, so that was cool. I really
loved Elder Andersons talk, it made so much sense to me, and I just
started laughing, because that situation with the Navajo man I could
just picture happening. It reminded me a ton of my grandparents (g&g
Roundy) that served in Arizona and told me stories like that. I just
loved it. And we really do need to make sure we are in tune with the
music of the Spirit.

Also, they have talked about shakespeare 2 of the confrences that I
have been out here, and I loved the refrence made. Really we are not
defined by who we were, but who we are.
I can really say that I passed though a lot and that not all of the
decisions I made were the greatest, and I keep making mistakes, just
like all of everyone that has existed and will ever exist. Besides the
one who made it possible to become who we are.

Also, something that I have been learning that was confirmed is that
the Lord is advancing His work, and it is going to advance. With our
help or without it, it is going to advance. So we have to make the
choice that we are going to be a part of it. It has been the greatest
to put my whole heart and soul into this work, and I plan on it being
like that forever!!

Sorry it is short, but Love you all!

This week has been crazy! So some Hermanas had to come stay in our
house a couple nights. They still worked in their area, but they were
here for the night. It was so weird, like a sleepover, but with rules.
I have actually had to do this a few times in my mission, and it
always is crazy. I have SUCH a testimony of obedience that I really
always am very insistant that we go to bed on time, wake up on time,
and all that. I didnt notice how naturally it had started to come to
me until this week. I really know that we are blessed according to our
obedience! It is different in the world, I am sure- but the
commandments are from God. There is a part in the mission manual that
says that when we accepted our calling, we accepted to live the
standards of the mission.
Well, I relate that to life. When we decided to be baptized, we
commited to follow Christ and to keep Gods commandments. Every
covenant is a promise, that we will be obedient because we love God.
Not because we will be blessed, this is a plus.

Everyone feels Gods love in a different way. There is a Hermana here
that has lost her eye sight, and she is so compassionate, grateful for
everything and cares about everyone. There is a cute less active
hermana that her dog died the other day, and she remebered that even
though it was hard for her right now, God loved her and she came to
church.

They asked me to sing in the Choir, so I we are doing that! It has
been fun, it is super las minute, like you think the ones in the home
wards are last minute and impossible sometimes but not compared to
here! Ward conf is next week! I remember when they set me apart they
said I should use my musical talents and I kind of that that was
interesting, but without even looking for it I have done it.

Also! I am in a trio for 2 weeks, Hermana Rodriguez (from California)
is leaving to her home in 2 weeks and they sent her here! I am excited
to work with her, it is fun to work with those that are getting ready
to go!
I still have a lot of time left and I am going to put my all into it!!
I love you all and I love this work. Sure, salvation is individual,
but I really understand the Savior a little bit more and I really hope
that everyone can recieve it!

OH! I have not sent pictures in so long and I feel so bad about that!
I have been so caught up in all this that I actually havent taken that
many! But I will try to send some more frequently now!
Repent every day. Start where you are. Do more without stopping what
you are already doing.

I have like 0 time right now, but I am gonna do what I can.
so we are three for one week more, that has been interesting and fun,
and also different.
Little by little we have to make goals and organize, that is what we
have been doing. it has been good having an extra hand in everything.
It is crazy, in the mission you see people at all states of their
missions all the time. Hermana Sanchez has 8 months and Hna Rodriguez
is finishing next week.
I am exited for whatever comes this transfer. I am feeling really
ready to put all that I have learned and all I am into this time.
Something that I loved from this week is that we got to sing in the
choir in Ward Confrence. I loved it so much, they asked me to sing a
parts of 'if the Savior stood beside me' and I have realized that I
really love that hymn.
Sorry this is the lamest email ever, but just know I am doing well and
I love you!
